AIG Assist will provide assistance including:
* Medical Consultation, Evaluation and Referrals
* Hospital Admission Guarantee: AIG Assist will guarantee hospital
admission outside the United States by validating the members health
coverage or by advancing funds to the hospital.
* Emergency Medical Evacuation: Should adequate medical facilities
not be available locally, AIG Assist will use whatever mode of transport,
equipment, and personnel necessary to evacuate a member to the nearest
facility capable of providing appropriate care.
* Medically Supervised Evacuation: Should a member still require
medical assistance upon being discharged from a hospital, AIG Assist
will repatriate him/her home or to a rehabilitation facility with a medical
or non-medical escort, as necessary.
* Emergency Message Transmission: AIG Assist will receive and
transmit emergency messages for the member.
* Transportation to Join Patient: If a member is traveling alone
and will be hospitalized for more than seven days, AIG Assist will
provide economy, round-trip, common carrier transportation to the place
of hospitalization for a designated family member or friend.
* Repatriation of Mortal Remains: AIG Assist will render every
possible assistance in the event of a members death. This service
includes locating a sending funeral home to prepare the remains for transport,
procuring required documentation, providing necessary shipping container
as well as paying for transport.
* Emergency Trauma Counseling: AIG Assist will provide online
telephonic counseling and referrals to qualified counselors as needed
or requested.
*Interpreter & Legal Referrals: AIG Assist can refer members
to interpreters and/or legal personnel, as necessary.
ALL SERVICES MUST BE ARRANGED AND PROVIDED BY AIG Assist. NO CLAIMS
FOR REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. ALL MEDICAL CLAIMS MUST BE SUBMITTED
TO AIG Assist.
