Job Description

Conduct English language training at Salomon S.A. Responsibilities include organizing and leading individual interviews and discussion groups, providing concise feedback to each participant, simulating meeting and conference environments, and assisting with translations into English. The intern will also oversee book, CD-rom, and video loans. Most teaching will be done in English, some French used with the Human Resource team.

The intern will be required to move between many departments in the company and help employees develop their professional English skills appropriate to their job.

Academic Background

Business or Education (preferred minors: French, Education, Business, Computer Science)

Skills/Experience

The position requires creativity, good interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of business concepts, and a high level of maturity. Previous teaching experience preferred.

Language Ability

Excellent French communication skills (3rd year college level completed)

Other Requirements

TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification a plus. Final approval requires a telephone interview with Salomon S.A. in both English and French.

IE3 Program Fee

The program fee* for the first term of any internship is $2950 - $3150. You do not pay tuition in addition to the program fee. Visit your University's IE3 page for details, costs for additional terms, and campus administrative fees.

*The program fee noted above reflects the anticipated fee increase that will go into effect for the Fall 2010 term and will apply to all terms thereafter.

Additional Expense Information

Students are required to make an in-person visit to the French Consul in San Francisco to obtain their visas. The costs for visas reflect the additional cost of traveling to San Francisco.
