Ruwwad works with the under-developed community of Jabal Natheef to bring much needed services to the people who need them most. Ruwwad has been successful in bringing police, mail, and health services to the community while constantly evaluating its needs. Interns with Ruwwad will assist with event planning, content development, curriculum development, project management, research, and teaching.

In 2005, Ruwwad was launched with the specific intent of putting entrepreneurship in the service of community development. By creating successful partnerships with government, civil society, and community organizations, Ruwwad has been able to position itself within a unique community empowerment model that is able to respond to Jabal Natheef community’s needs.

Job Description
Interns will work in some or all of the following areas:
Developing program events; finding and organizing speakers for Ruwwad’s Dardashat (Speaker Program).
Assisting with the community newspaper/website – developing content, writing pieces, interviewing community members.
Developing curriculum and implementing projects for community programs.
Working with youth on a daily basis on specific projects that include arts, writing, reading, acting etc.
Conducting research on various aspects of the community in order to better identify their needs and develop programs that fulfill these needs.
Teaching English.

Arabic will be used regularly at Ruwwad, in that most members will have a low level of English skills.

IE3 Program Fee
The IE3 program fee is $3450 for the first term for both in-state and out-of-state students and $1000 for each additional term, regardless of credit earned. You do not pay tuition for the term(s) you are abroad. Visit your University's IE3 page for details, costs for additional terms, and campus administrative fees.
