Jordan-002 | Print This Position Description
Interns will be engaged in a dynamic environment that requires them to conduct interviews, write stories, analyze events, and produce texts for the magazine. Also, as the website is developed, interns may be asked to help place content on the site.
Interns will learn the entire process of magazine publication, from idea to printed material.

JO Magazine publishes a monthly magazine covering topics of interest in Jordan. They also cover politics with a recently received license to cover political events.

Academic Background
Undergraduate or graduate students with a background in journalism, media studies, photojournalism or communications.
Skills/Experience
Required: Proficiency with computers and MS Office. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred: Experience in a dynamic environment, ability to work independently, journalism experience.
Language Ability
Working language is English; however, at least some basic Arabic is recommended to be able to integrate into Jordanian culture. Additional Arabic will lead to an enhanced internship experience.

IE3 Program Fee
The program fee* for the first term of any internship is $2950 - $3150. You do not pay tuition in addition to the program fee. Visit your University's IE3 page for details, costs for additional terms, and campus administrative fees.
*The program fee noted above reflects the anticipated fee increase that will go into effect for the Fall 2010 term and will apply to all terms thereafter.
