The intern will be one of several “Group Leaders” in Bournemouth, England for students learning English as a second language.
The position has the responsibilities of a typical “”Head Counselor” in U.S. summer camps. The first week will be in Brussels, 8 weeks will be in Bournemouth, and the last week will be in Brussels for a debriefing and to finish up on duties and assignments. The position requires about 40 hours a week plus being on call in the event on an emergency 24/7.
This position is not for the faint of heart, it will require hard work, attention to detail, and exceedingly strong patience and excellent communication skills.

• Incoming services for interns/students in Brussels, own residential facilities in Brussels (owning & managing 6 residences, offering over 120 rooms and studios)
• Advertising expenses: over € 100,000/year excluding brochures and mailing costs.
Job Description
The following is a description of an intern’s primary duties during the placement in Bournemouth, England:
•Managing a group of about 50-60 multinational students (Italian, Dutch, Belgian, and French)
•Help lead students to locations and cities around the UK including Oxford and London.
•Point of contact with local officials and hospital staff in the event of accidents and other emergencies
•Development of “scrap book” containing pictures and stories from your summer in Bournemouth to be distributed online and to clients.
•Creating and executing a weekly schedule of activities and events for the students in Bournemouth
•Managing a weekly budget for activities and events in Bournemouth
•Translation and/or adjustment of English company documents
•Serving as the point of contact for our partner schools in Bournemouth
•Organization of the satisfaction questionnaires for our clients (of their home stay/language courses)

•Ability to speak French or Dutch at and intermediate level preferred
•Customer service experience a plus
•Documentable knowledge of first aid and/or CPR a plus
•Previous travel and/or studies in Europe a plus

IE3 Program Fee
The IE3 program fee is $3450 for the first term for both in-state and out-of-state students and $1000 for each additional term, regardless of credit earned. You do not pay tuition for the term(s) you are abroad. Visit your University's IE3 page for details, costs for additional terms, and campus administrative fees.

Compensation
•Accommodation in Brussels and Bournemouth will be included in the placement. The accommodation is in a residence (about 20 to 25 minutes walk to the office) and Internet, water, heating and electricity is included.
•Small stipend of $400.00 USD provided per month (Value only, stipend will be given in GBP)
•Local travel and accommodation costs will be paid for by the company.
