About the Organization

Atout France, the Economic interest group charged with developing tourism in France, has launched a new brand by the name of Rendezvousenfrance.com for the purpose of enhancing access to tourism resources. The new official website was launched on March 27, 2012 and was deployed in 14 languages, 32 versions and six destination sites. The previous brand, Franceguide.com, was regarded as the gateway to French Tourism: existing in 15 languages with 42 international markets (versions of the site), which boasted more than 23 million visits in 2010.

The headquarters of Atout France is located in Paris, France, and the company boasts 35 other branches in more than 30 countries that span across 5 continents. The Paris headquarters is responsible for managing the French and English versions of the websites, whereas the international versions are managed by other branches of Atout France located in their target countries.

Both websites are managed by an editorial team within the Department of New Technologies at ATOUT France. Interns will work with this team to optimize their websites and collect information from partners to expand and enhance the information they make available. Offices are located in the 9th district of Paris (Metro: Place de Clichy)

Job Description

With responsibilities for developing the digital policies of the agency, interns will be a part of the editorial team "Service Editorial Web & E-Marketing", which is housed within the Department of New Technologies.
Their primary responsibilities include the following:
Web-mastering:

  • Collecting information from partners, shaping, creating and publishing content
  • Enriching and/or rewriting existing content

Site Optimization:

  • Implementing and verifying meta tags on the site
  • Developing and monitoring internal and external linking

Language Ability

Native English Speaker (Required)
Minimum 2nd year French

IE3 Program Fee

The IE3 program fee is $3450 for the first term for both in-state and out-of-state students and $1000 for each additional term, regardless of credit earned. You do not pay tuition for the term(s) you are abroad. Visit your University's IE3 page for details, costs for additional terms, and campus administrative fees.

Housing costs are estimates. Students are responsible for securing their own housing in Paris. There may be a possibility of working with the Paris CROUS to arrange for student rates on housing.
