About the Organization

Through a partnership with Hartwig Pruessmann in Germany, IE₃ Global Internship participants have access to a wide variety of German internship opportunities in business, engineering, education, culture, international studies, political science, and liberal arts.

Previous internships arranged by Hartwig in the Cologne region include the areas of Journalism and Publishing (Magazines, Newspapers, Publishers, Radio Stations); Business (Consulting, Retail, Marketing, Operations, HR, Trade Organizations, Chamber of Commerce); Culture and Art (Museums, Music Festivals, Opera Houses, Radio Stations, Photography); Education (Teaching, TESOL, Educational Advising, International Education, Educational Program Administration).

Students applying for an individualized internship in the Cologne area receive support and suggestions for settling in, as well as substantial help with work permit and registration processing, suggestions for accommodation and ongoing support.

Job Description

Internships available depend on the skills of the applicant and the needs of the organization. Internships are available year round, but applicants should apply as early as possible in order to give maximum opportunity for arranging an internship that is a good fit.

IE₃ Program Fee

The program fee* for the first term of any internship is $2950 - $3150. You do not pay tuition in addition to the program fee. Visit your University's IE₃ page for details, costs for additional terms, and campus administrative fees.

*The program fee noted above reflects the anticipated fee increase that will go into effect for the Fall 2010 term and will apply to all terms thereafter.

Compensation

Some internships may offer compensation, but it is not guaranteed.

Applicants will be charged an additional $500 fee, which includes the placement, local support, and processing of the work permit waiver.
