IE3 presents at EducationUSA conference in Mexico City!

EducationUSA held a Western Hemisphere Education USA Adviser Training Program in Mexico City from September 28 - October 2nd this year. This Program brought together approximately 100 advisors from the network of Education USA advising centers in Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, over 50 representative of U.S. colleges and universities attended. The week-long training program was designed to strengthen the EducationUSA advising team and enhance the quality and portfolio of services provided to prospective international students and the U.S. higher education community.

Through generous sponsorship from the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, this event provided opportunities to engage advising and admissions professionals in a variety of discussions designed to increase bilateral student mobility.

Monya Lemery, IE3 Global Internships Latin America Director, co-presented on "Implementing a Successful Internship Program in your Education USA Center." Megan Lewis, Education USA Advising Coordinator at the Mexico City Center co-presented. Megan Lewis is an alum of the IE3 Global Internships Program. The Mexico City advising office has a well-established advising center. In addition to Megan Lewis, IE3 alumi Lisa Glancy and Leah Severino work in the Mexico City Center. Thais Pires from Sao Paulo, Brazil, also co-presented. Thais's office is in the beginning stages of developing an internship program at their center.

Monya Lemery was able to represent Oregon State University at the University Fair.
