I have been in Dublin for several weeks now and have already learned so much about this culture and about myself outside of my home environment. Dublin is a bustling city with a strong mix of travelers and locals. The river, also known as the “liffey”, glows every night and reflects the beautiful surrounding buildings during the day. Upon my arrival in Scotland I was promptly told that the Queen would be visiting the following week, and that preparations for her visit would be one of my first assignments. There’s nothing like jumping right into a new work environment with the grand task of assisting with a royal visit. This would be the first visit by a reigning monarch to the small coastal town of North Berwick since 1902, and the entire town was abuzz with excitement. Costa Rica is a country of lush rainforests, pristine beaches, incredible biodiversity and friendly people. A culturally and geographically diverse country, an intern can experience volcanoes, pristine mountain lakes, the rainforest, the coast, and lush mountains.
