Kallari Chocolate Tour of the U.S. in February and March 2009: Ecuadorian chocolate maker to tour ten U.S. cities, educating about organic cacao from “bean to bar.”

Cynthia Engel, the IE3 Europe Director has been traveling throughout France visiting existing internship sites and establishing some new, exciting opportunities. It's been great to be back in France and to meet the organizations and businesses who have been incredibly supportive of our program and our students. Our existing sites are really quite amazing! Some sites that are still open for summer interns include the Chateau de Touffou and the Chateau de Veuil. Quathamer to be named Citizen of the Year By Liz Powell
After raising five children of her own, Donna Quathamer has added a few hundred more over the last eight years. On Tuesday, February 10, the founder of the two Casa de los Angeles Day Care Centers will become the second recipient of the Citizen of the Year Award from the Rotary Club of San Miguel–Midday.

I threw up a giant meal of hamburger, ice cream and brownie then laid in bed all the next day. This happened on the night that all of the college-aged volunteers packed up and went back to the states, with the exception of Amanda. As I recovered I packed up to move into a different apartment that Amanda and I are renting together. With groups of short-term older volunteers moving in to the volunteer house we had to find someplace else to live.
