IE3 Alum founds Awadeshalo Project

IE3 Alum Jenny Gerfen from Western Washington University, who interned with Adoption Advocates International in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2007 has founded the Awadeshalo Project, dedicated to enhancing the lives of Ethiopian street children through love, compassion and education while embracing enviornmentally and culturally sustainable practices.

During her internship in Ethiopia, Jenny witnessed the severe challenges and dangers faced daily by Ethiopian street children and was alarmed by the lack of a social safety net to support them.
