IE3 at Oregon State University

IE3 Regional Director, Monya Lemery, and IE3 Program Assistants Giustina Pelosi and Julia Michaels were at Oregon State University on Thursday, October 9th for the OSU Education Abroad Fair! They spoke with many bright and enthusiastic students about opportunities to intern abroad. The OSU campus advisor, Teppei Hayashi, will be busy advising many pre-med, pre-veterinary medicine, public health and engineering students who are seeking an international work experience. They were also pleased to see a strong interest in Africa and Latin America.

IE3 at Portland State University

Regional Directors Monya Lemery and Cynthia Engel joined forces again and met with students at the PSU study abroad fair on Wednesday in Portland, Oregon. They were greeted with enthusiastic group of students interested in taking advantage of our international internship options - particularly in international development. Many students had self-arranged connections and were pleased to find out they could run their internships through IE3 to obtain credit and continue moving forward in their academic programs. IE3 at University of Montana

IE3 Regional Directors Monya Lemery and Cynthia Engel hit the ground running after disembarking from their prop plane in Missoula, Montana. We spent 4 days visiting the faculty and students at University of Montana, the newest of our partners at IE3 Global Internships. After orienting our first two students who will be departing for China and the UK, Kevin Hood, UM's fearless Campus Advisor set us on our whirlwind adventure.

Free Money - Gilman Scholarship Deadline Extended

The deadline for the Gilman International Scholarship has been extended to October 13, 2008. Online applications ( available at https://gilmanapplication.iie.org ) must now be submitted by 11:59 pm central time on October 13.

This year the Gilman Program will award over 1,200 scholarships to students participating in study abroad programs during the 2008-2009 academic year. IE3 Internships are eligible programs. There has never been a better time to apply! Read on for more information...

First week on the job in India

This week marks the first week I have been in India! So far the entire experience has been magical without lacking challenge after challenge. My favorite place in Pen is a small lake that is located near our beautiful bungalow. I love sitting by the water each afternoon after my full day of observation at Children’s Future India.
