Working with your Campus Advisor
Each campus in the IE3 network has a designated IE3 Advisor. The IE3 Campus Advisor is your main contact person for advice about applying to the IE3 program and campus specific issues such as credit, registration, financial aid, graduation, and local scholarship opportunities. They advise in the early stages, then interview you once your application is complete to make a final recommendation about your candidacy for the program.
Once you have been accepted for an internship, the IE3 Regional Director will provide you with information about your internship site, planning your travel, etc. and the IE3 Campus Advisor will continue to be your main contact for credit, registration, etc.
When you first meet with your Campus Advisor, it helps to have the following information with you:
- An updated resume. (If you don't have a resume, have the career center help you develop one. You'll need it anyway!)
- Information about your top internship choices (2-3) and how they match your goals
- A list of any questions you have about the positions, application process, timing, etc.
Each campus works slightly differently with advising, so be sure to read the information on your campus page first. Contact the office where the Campus Advisor is based if you have any questions.
