Fulbright Grants

Funds study or research in another country. Annual awards. Deadline is roughly October of each year for the following year. More info on the Fulbright Website

Gates Cambridge Scholarships

Full cost scholarship for students from around the world to pursue graduate study and research at Cambridge University. More information at http://www.gatesscholar.org/

Rhodes Scholarships

Full scholarship for Americans to study at the Masters level at Oxford University. More information at http://www.rhodesscholar.org/

Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships:

Rotary has three types of scholarships available:

Academic-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships

Flat grant of US$24,000 for one academic year of study in another country.

Multi-Year Ambassadorial Scholarships

Fund two years of degree-oriented study in another country. A flat grant of $12,000 is provided each year.

Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships

Finance either three or six months of intensive language study and cultural immersion in another country. They provide a flat grant of $11,000 for three months and $16,000 for six months.

Fellowships

Rotary World Peace Fellowships

In addition to the Ambassadorial Scholarships, rotary offers 60 World Peace Fellowships a year for courses of study at one of their 11 university partners. The program is focused on Peace and Conflict Resolution. Students from all over the world are eligible, but may not study in their home country. William J. Clinton Fellowship

An integral aspect of the bridge between the United States and India is people-to-people connections that strengthen political, economic and cultural ties. Yet, there are few formal opportunities for Americans to experience the Indians development space and learn about it first-hand. The Clinton Fellowship offers young Americans the chance to serve with Indian NGOs for a period of 10 months. Candidates must meet the following basic criteria:

  • Citizen/ permanent resident of the United States
  • Be between the ages of 21 and 35 on September 1, 2010
  • Have completed an undergraduate degree prior to September 1, 2010

      UW Honors- Bonderman Travel Fellowship

      The Bonderman Travel Fellowship program offers graduate students (including those in the Law and Business Schools and other graduate and professional programs) and undergraduate students in the University Honors Program and in UW Tacoma's Global Honors Program an opportunity to engage in independent exploration and travel abroad.
