IE3 Peer Mentor
The IE3 Global Internship peer mentor program aims to improve and enhance IE3 services on each of our partner campuses while encouraging greater interactions between prospective, current and past interns. As an IE3 peer mentor, you will be responsible for representing the IE3 program as a whole and the internship site and country in which you interned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of an IE3 Global Internship
- Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Committed and reliable
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Excited and enthusiastic to talk about international internship experiences!!
Desired Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for international education and interest in learning more about the field
- Be enrolled in a partner college or university for the upcoming academic year
Responsibilities
- Provide regional and site-specific advice and guidance to future interns and applicants
- Periodically represent IE3 at study abroad fairs on home campus and local area schools (with approval from institution's study abroad office)
- Assist with pre-departure orientation (where applicable)
- Promote IE3 on home campus (with approval from home institution’s study abroad office)
- Manage online social networking communities such as Facebook and LinkedIn
- Assist in providing greater support and resources for returnees on home campus and via social networking communities
- Keep journals/logs tracking self and student interaction and attendance
- Respond to general program questions via e-mail
Time Commitment
Peer mentors must be able to commit 16 hours a month (approximately 4 hr/wk) to the peer-mentoring program.

Compensation:
Interns are paid an hourly rate at current minimum wage for a maximum for 16 hours per month.
